Uncertain Discoveries - Danielle Tay

This exhibition is held from 12th October 2017 to 5th November 2017 over at Chan+Hori Contemporary at Gillman Barracks.

Danielle Tay graduated from UK, Slade School of Fine Arts, thus you can see her works are different from the LaSalle School or the NAFA school. She did paper cutouts which she painted herself and assembled it back to form the image. She did some big and some small works. There was a piece which used wood and was hanging in the office. Really interesting and nice works. (yes and we mean it). Her works have improved and the works are more detailed and the 'visual perception' aspect of the works are more mature. Very Good.

Our favourite works are the 3 in the centre, got into the Artwork of the Month feature.

Points for Collectors: Buy to Strong Buy. We at 75GOP like her works. And the price isn't expensive, $800 to $3500. Works and pricelist available on Artsy.Very glad she and the gallery kept a level head and kept the price reasonable.

Portable Art Week - Ipreciation

This exhibition is currently going on from 12th October to the 21st October 2017 over at Ipreciation at the Hard Rock Cafe building.

It features affordable works, but is mainly a recap of what they have shown over the past year. The only two artists which I think are new are Benny Teo and Yang ZhongDa.

Interesting works if you missed some of their earlier exhibitions and need a catch up.

Ruang

This exhibition was held from 15th to 21st September 2017 at a rented shop space in Joo Chiat.

The exhibition was organised by Angkatan Pelukis Aneka Daya (APAD) aka Association of Artists of Various Resources.

The artists on show were Aishah Arin Abdul Malek, Aklili Zakaria, Dzaki Safaruan, Fajrina Razak, Leroy Sofyan, Nhawfal Juma'at, Nuridah Rostam, Qamarul Asyraf, Salleh Japar, Zulkhairi Zulkiflee. With the works being curated by Zulkhairi Zulkiflee and Nhawfal Juma'at.

Was an interesting show with nice and interesting works. Would have been worth someone's while to catch the show if it was still on. Felt that the 2 curators who were also showing their works were outstanding.

Some pics for your viewing pleasure.

Points for collectors: None of them are in the main stream gallery system, so their visibility is low. Only Dzaki Safaruan and Zulkhairi Zulkiflee have been mentioned previously on 75GOP. Don't think anything for sale. But we give Nhawfal Juma'at and Zulkhairi Zulkiflee a buy rating. Dzaki Safaruan maybe a buy. The rest have to increase their visibility and brand.
