For the posts, the general description of the artists, the body of work and the exhibition will be covered extensively by other sites, the gallery website or the press release. We will try to provide relevant links to these sites.
Hence, we will be highlighting certain facts which we deem important, especially with regards to the quality of the artwork. Otherwise, we will mainly stick to the personal thoughts, opinions and points about the art, artist and exhibition. We don't want to be like other sites which just paraphrase others or the press release.
The posts are written in a straight forward manner, written in the Singaporean Vernacular, dishing it out straight to you. No prose where each word competes with another for the accolade of longest word. No need to pause and ponder the meaning of every other word or the prerequisite of a dictionary to be indispensable as you plough through the essay. We have no wish for our writings to be placed into the annals of literature or for our writings to be a piece of art in itself. Just our sincere thoughts. And I am sure an honest opinion is most welcome in this day, when no artist seems to be criticised.
And yes, Welcome to 'Paintings at the Exhibitions'!!!
